Fashion's Night Out Milwaukee

It may have taken 3 years, but Milwaukee finally jumped on the Fashion's Night Out bandwagon! As the date drew closer, I was skeptical about the turn out on both the retailer and consumer end. As we struggled to find parking, it was clear we were dealing with much more than the typical happy hour crowd in downtown Milwaukee's quaint and classy Third Ward. Yes folks Milwaukee residents are no strangers to fashion. And, yes, we know fashion beyond Marc, Chanel, and Mr. Kors. Though we love those names too.

Milwaukee Fashion's Night Out was a complete success that saw more than 1,500 people, and quite a business boost for local Milwaukee boutiques. On top of that, it's given Milwaukee fashionistas and fashionistos a glimmer of hope that there is in fact a strong fashion presence in our pint-sized city. Groups of well-dressed ladies and gents dotted the sidewalks, drinks and bags in hand. There was an air of excitement that existed as the night went on and the shop windows kept glowing.

Over 30 boutiques stayed open until 9pm, and shout out to the ones who had raffles, samples, and flutes of champagne. (love!!) Some of the local boutiques that really wowed me with their unique collections were Luci, who had lovely dresses in every style and color, and Five Hearts, who had adorable accessories and jewelry that I can't stop lusting over. Overall, Milwaukee Fashion's Night Out was a major hit, and a fantastic celebration of fashion.

  1. Glad to hear that FNO has reached Milwaukee! I was going to go to our's but I had just returned to the country and was too tired to go, unfortunately. But I'm glad to hear that you had a fantastic time and your outfit is cute! Really digging that bag, printed skirt, and I'm pretty sure I have those exact Aldo sandals (my absolute favorites as I've been practically living in them all summer)!
